JK. In all seriousness, I keep seeing an inverse relationship between how much time most folks spend researching/trading/optimizing/whatever...and how much money they're working with. Many exceptions, of course, but I'm convinced most of us will do better and be happier by doing what you described.

All else can wait until one has enough capital that 5 or 10% marginal returns actually move the needle.
